The legendary Palace of the Crown, well known as " Taj Mahal " is located in Agra, a small town in the North of India. This palace was created by the emperor Shâh Jahân. He decided to build it in 1631 in memory of his loving wife, Mumtaz Mahal, to honor his wife and to show her his love. Entirely made of white marble and decorated with semi precious stones, the legend describes this mausoleum as the perfect representation of paradise.
Considered as one of the jewels of India, the Taj Mahal is among the New Seven Wonders of the World. As the Taj Mahal was built by a man for a woman, Stéphane Lévy, after an initiatory journey in India, decides to create a range of skincare
dedicated to modern women. Inspired by Ayurveda, TAAJ cosmetics combine a traditional knowhow with a French high-end expertise. TAAJ means " crowned " in Sanskrit. That is why Stéphane dedicates the brand to his wife, named Reine (Queen in English).
